Land navigation is a certification that teaches how to navigate by land without access to a GPS. This will include reading the map, use of map tools, orientation of one's self using landmarks, and sustained travel.

To pass certification the member will be placed somewhere at random and be given — on the map — where they must go. The member must reach the location without assistance or, if time does not permit they physically arrive, the member must clearly demonstrate that given additional time they would reach the location.
